The Battery Tender® J1772 Adapter allows Tesla vehicles to charge from any J1772 Level 1 or Level 2 charging station — including all Battery Tender® eCharge units. No tools, no installation, no configuration required.

What It Does

J1772 is the North American standard connector used on virtually all non-Tesla Level 1 and Level 2 charging equipment. Tesla vehicles use a proprietary connector. The Battery Tender® J1772 Adapter bridges the two standards — connect the adapter to the J1772 charging handle and plug directly into the Tesla vehicle's charging port.

Compatible With

• All Battery Tender® eCharge Level 1 and Level 2 charging units
• Any third-party J1772 Level 1 or Level 2 charging station
• All Tesla vehicle models with the standard Tesla charging port

Usage

Attach the adapter to the J1772 charging handle before connecting to the Tesla vehicle. Remove and store when not in use. Charging speed is determined by the station's output rating and the Tesla vehicle's onboard charger capacity — the adapter does not alter or limit either.
